Obituary of Leo Stoffels

Leo Stoffels, age 81, of Haledon died Monday, August 4, 2008. Mr. Stoffels was born November 23, 1926 in Paterson, NJ and lived in Haledon his entire life. He served in the United States Navy as a Seabee during WW II. . He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalman for 45 years. Mr. Stoffels was an Exempt Member of the Haledon Volunteer Fire Department Company No. 1 and the Haledon Board of Health. He is survived by his wife: Gloria (Kofman) Stoffels of Haledon, his two sons: Leo Stoffels, Jr. and his wife Linda of Wayne, NJ and Robert Stoffels and his wife Ann Marie of Ogdensburg, NJ, his grandchildren; Catherine, Bryan, Tabetha and David, his great grandchildren; Ethan, Zoe, Todd and Andrew. His also survived by his sister: Marion Carrdine and two brothers: John Saracco and Ralph Saracco. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis Saracco Visting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ. Memorials may be made to Haledon Volunteer Fire Department Company No. 1 and Haledon Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
