Obituary of Herbert Daniel Menchan

Herbert Daniel Menchan was born October 31, 1944, in Barnett Hospital, Paterson, NJ. He was the eldest son of the belated Fred and Geneva Menchan. Dan spent most of his life in the Paterson, but moved to Rahway in the early 60s. Dan then returned after he graduated from Woodbridge High School and found work at Finetex where he was employed for 40 years as a chemical operator and plant supervisor. Dan retired from Finetex in 2006. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed fishing; hunting and most outdoor activities and those who knew him well considered Dan a Jack of all Trades. Dan was baptized as one of Jehovah Witnesses in 1979. In 1967 he married Beatrice Davis and together they had their beloved children Shdel and Daniel. From there, their family grew. Shdel now shares her life with her husband Jason Harrell in Edison, NJ and Daniel shares his life with his wife Crystal and their two children, Quinton and Caleb, in Concord, NC. Family was very important to Dan. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves a sister, Helen Long and husband Robert, three brothers, Fred, Rudy, and Wayne Menchan, numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, which are too numerous to name. Dan was loved and will be missed by all.
