Carole Poterala (nee Keyzer) age 83, of, North Haledon passed away peacefully Monday, December 11, 2017 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ. Carole was born June 4, 1934 in Clifton, NJ. She lived in Paterson, NJ before moving to North Haledon in 1957.
She retired from American B & D, Glen Rock, NJ as a Secretary in 1999 where she worked for 20 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Joanne Berry of North Haledon, NJ and her husband Jim and Kathy Cazenave and her husband Rick of El Dorado, AR, and her son: Edward S. Poterala and his wife Loretta of Wayne, NJ. She also is survived by her grandchildren; Clayton Berry and his wife Mari, Craig Berry, Glenn Berry and his wife Heather, Melissa Bolger and her husband Daniel, Michelle Poterala and her fiancé Kyle Winschuh, Rick Cazenave and Matthew Cazenave and her great grandchildren; Aaron, Benjamin and Nathan Berry.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Poterala and her granddaughter, Angela Poterala.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, December 16 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Cremation will be private.
Visiting hours will be Friday, December 15 from 4-8 PM. Memorial gifts to the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 60 Kimball Avenue, South Burlington, VT 05403 www.vabvi.org would be appreciated.
