Obituary of Herbert J. Sandford

Herbert J. Sandford, age 82, of Paterson died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Herbert was born May 22, 1935 in Wanaque, NJ. He is the son of the late Herbert and the late Margaret (Clark) Sandford. He served in the United States Marine Corps He was employed by Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson, NJ as a Mechanic for 35 years and retired in 2007. He is survived by his three daughters: Yvonne McNamee of Haledon, NJ, Kym Hall of Paterson, NJ, Sherry Corvino, and his two sons: Kyle Sandford of Fort Lee , NJ and Bryan Sandford of Tobyhanna, PA. He is also survived by his sister: Herberta King, his brother: James Sandford and his grandchildren; Duke Sandford, Melissa Sandford, Erin Pistone, Ryan McNamee, Astelle Sandford, Nikki Lagasse and Kylie Sandford and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Sandford, his son, Duke Sandford and his sister, Margaret Sinnott. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 11 from 4-8 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
