Biagio Mario Maritato, age 51, of Woodland Park died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Biagio was born February 2, 1965 in Provincia di Cosenza, Cetraro, Italy. He is the son of the late Benedetto and Teresa (Balduzzi) Maritato. He came to the United States in 1985 and settled in Paterson, NJ and has lived in Woodland Park since 1987. He was a Senior Maintenance Man for Department of Public Works for the Township of Wayne for the past thirteen years. He also was an expert tile man. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church in Paterson, a member of the Roma Sports Club in Paterson, San Remo Club in Totowa, NJ and the St. Michael's Club in Paterson. He enjoyed going to his home in upstate New York and making brick oven pizza. He is survived by his wife: Loredana (Vaccaro) Maritato his son: Marco Maritato of Woodland Park; his mother Teresa (Balduzzi) Maritato of Cteraro, Italy, his two brothers: Eugenio Maritato and his wife Rosa of Woodland Park, NJ and Remo Maritato and his wife Filomena of Cetraro, Italy. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Friday, May 6 at Our Lady Of Pompeii R.C. Church, Caldwell Avenue, Paterson, NJ with Father Frank Agresti officiating. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 4 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, May 5 from 7-9 PM. .
