Obituary of Giuseppa Lucca

Giuseppa Lucca, age 82, of Hawthorne died Friday, April 29, 2016 at Regency Gardens Nursing Home in Wayne, NJ. Giuseppa was born December 7, 1933 in Province de Siracusa, Solarino, Sicily, Italy . She is the daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Rosa (Adorno) Calafiore. She came to the United States in 1971 and settled in Paterson, NJ. She lived in Glen Rock, NJ and Fair Lawn, NJ before moving to Hawthorne three years ago. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three children; Ernesto Lucca of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Rosa La Mattina of Lincoln Park, NJ and Joseph Lucca of Haledon, NJ. She is also survived by her sister: Teresa Salafia of Paterson, NJ, her grandchildren: Giulio, Carmelo, Daniela, Melissa, Marc, Michael, Christian and Zachary, her great granddaughter, Savannah Rose and her companion Carmela Aparo. She was predeceased by her daughter, Gisella Colabelli her brothers, Carmelo and Salvatore Calafiore and her sisters, Concetta Cacciola and Paola Carmmalleri. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 3 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 2 from 2-4 & 7-9 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
