Elizabeth "Betty" Pagano (nee Mastalia), age 88, of Wayne died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Christian Healthcare Center in Wyckoff, NJ. Elizabeth was born June 2, 1925 in Paterson, NJ. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Emilia (Gatti) Mastalia.
She was employed by Barbizon as an office worker for 40 years and retired in 1990.
She is survived by her son: Alfonse Pagano and her daughter-in-law Rowena of Newark, NJ, her granddaughter ; Crystal Pagano of Little Falls, NJ and her great grandchildren; Tyler and Asia. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law; Erma Mastalia of Wayne, NJ and Sue Russo of Ortley Beach, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Sisto Mastalia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, August 26 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, , Paterson, NJ with Msgr. Mark Giordani officiating. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, August 25 from 4-8pm at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
