I received an e-mail from Jersey this afternoon. George and I go back to circa 1968, where we passed numerous happy hours at Joe Kinni's barbershop on Belmont Avenue in Haledon. The three of us along with Mark Adams enjoyed debating photography and the still new hi fi stereo music.
We often kept in touch via e-mail, sharing all the latest that I missed being here for the last 6 years. George visited me here in Clearwater the last 3 years on his annual visits to Florida. He truly enjoyed the days recalling the good times we all enjoyed back then.
I was shocked when I read his obituary, as he LOOKED AND SOUNDED GREAT. He told me that he felt great and was already looking forward to returning again in November.
My sympathy and condolences to all.
George, Requiescat In Pace.
SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE WHEN MY TIME IS UP!
PEACE, ROG.

I was deeply saddened to learn of George's passing. My heart, love and sympathy go out to Shirley and her family. I don't recall when I first met George, but it was sometime before we graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School in 1952. We all drifted apart, busy with family life, until retirement allowed us time to reconnect. George was a familiar face at many of our monthly luncheons, and many of our classmates always asked about him. George will be missed very much for his friendship and humor. I know he is resting in peace. God bless you, George.
With sympathy,
John

I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I just saw him in November when he came to my brother Joe's viewing. He was a very sweet man. My mom Rose used to spend time with Aunt Vi before her passing. May God bless you and be your comfort and strength during this difficult time.

We knew George for only several years compared to probably many. He always showed great personal pride of himself & loved this Country, family, and friends. He was looked upon by us as true American!
It's a shame he couldn't have stayed quite a while longer because of his humor and pride will be missed by all that knew him.
My wife and I will miss your visits. God bless & God's speed George. Peter & Paulette Tosto West Milford NJ

daddy, thank you for everything you have done for us. words could never describe the sadness that me and the girls are feeling. don't worry I will take care of mom. I'm glad we spent the quiet moments together the last few weeks just watching tv. I'm sorry for what you had to go through.(needless to say). thank you for working so hard to keep a roof over our heads, thank you for the time spent together with us in Disney. we will miss you very much. until we meet again, in Heaven. I know in time our pain will heal and I will cherish every memory we all had as a family. I love you and miss you already.
