Obituary of Peter DiGangi

Peter DiGangi, age 90, of Wayne died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ. Peter was born December 1, 1924 in Castellana Sicula, Province Di Palermo, Sicily, Italy . He is the son of the late Gandolfo and the late Giuseppina (Cascio) DiGangi. He came to the United States in the 1950's and settled in Paterson, NJ and moved to North Haledon in 1962 before moving to Wayne in 2000. He was a self employed by contractor and the owner of P F & S Construction. He also was policeman in Rome, Italy. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Paterson where he was a Deacon and a Eucharistic Minister. He is survived by his wife: Ida (Sausa) DiGangi , his two daughters: Anna Roetman and her husband Roy of Haledon, NJ, Mary Milano and her husband Danny of Lincoln Park, NJ and his son: Peter DiGangi and Kathi Healey of Wayne, NJ, his brother : Frank DiGangi of Port St. Lucie, FL and his grandchildren: Tara Roetman, Brian DiGangi, Danielle DiGangi and D.J. Milano. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Friday, January 30 at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. Entombent will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
