Obituary of Irving J. Allaghi

Irving J. Allaghi, age 90, of North Haledon died Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hospice of New Jersey in Wayne, NJ, Irving was born October 4, 1924 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Anthony and the late Eva (Boggio) Allaghi. He served in the Army during WW II and was three time recipient of the Purple Heart . He was an Accountant for Singer - Kearfott , Little Falls NJ for twenty years and retired in 1996. He was an Exempt Member of the Haledon Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Haledon Masonic Lodge and the North Haledon Golden Agers . He is survived by his wife: Laura (Van De Voort) Allaghi , his daughter Laurie Prusik and her husband Joseph of Fanwood, NJ and his son Ervin J. Allaghi and his wife Doreen of s Franklin Lakes, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jay Allaghi; Courtney Hogan, Trevor Allagh, Anthony Prusik and Tracy Prusik . The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 14 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ . Visiting hours will be Monday, October 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM . .
