Obituary of Mary-Sue Perconti

Mary Sue Perconti, 71 (nee Pernetti) of North Haledon, NJ went home to Heaven with her family by her side on Friday, September 19, 2014. Her loving attitude toward family and grandchildren will be missed.
She has been a resident of North Haledon all of her life. She attended St. Joseph's High School in Paterson and Caldwell College for Women in Caldwell, NJ. Mary-Sue and her late husband Joseph, were the first President Couple of the Family Life Bureau for the Diocese of Paterson and actively involved in the Family Life Program at St. Paul's R.C. Church. Mary Sue was also a member of Buehlers Cultural Committee and the North Haledon Republican Club . She was currently on the North Haledon Library Board and an active member of the North Haledon Readers Group.
She was fortunate enough to participate in all of her family activities. Faith and Family were always her priorities. She would also regularly ski with the family and make time for vacations. Attendance at games or events was a must. Mary-Sue was a past PTA President, Cub Scout and Brownie Leader and Cheer Leading Coach.
She is survived by her devoted son the Hon. Joseph C. Perconti and his wife Cynthia of Boonton Township and her loving daughter Elizabeth A. Buck and her husband Bryce of North Haledon, NJ. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren, Olivia H., Garrett J. Perconti and Brendan J. and Ryan J. Buck, Katie, her adored Golden Retriever as well as many relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Joseph A. Perconti and not a single day has passed where she has not mentioned her love for him, her brother Charles V. Pernetti, her parents Vincent A. and Edna Perconti and her in- laws Thomas A. and Gladys Perconti.
The Funeral Mass will b e on Saturday at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne, NJ at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will b e on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
