Obituary of Giovanni Liguori

Giovanni Liguori, age 76, of Wayne died Friday, May 24, 2013 at home in Wayne. Giovanni was born January 14, 1937 in Castel S. Georgio, Italy. He is the son of the late Alfonso and the late Filomena (Cerata) Liguori. He came to the United States in 1964 and settled in Paterson, NJ and lived in Haledon, NJ before moving to Wayne in 2006. He was a custodian for the Parsippany Troy Hills Board of Education for 18 years and retired in 2008. He also was a barber at Mario & Gerard Haircutters in Wayne. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church in Prospect Park, NJ. He is survived by his wife: Anna (DiGiacomo) Liguori his daughter: Filomena Lindsay and her husband Robert of Oakland, NJ and his sons: Alfonso Liguori and his wife Therese of North Haledon, NJ and John Anthony Liguori and his wife Heather of Hillsdale, NJ. He is also survived by his two sisters: Gelardina Liguori and Teresa Liguori and his brother: Gino Liguori all in Italy and his five grandchildren. Alfonso P. Liguori, Giovanni Liguori, Jr, Ava T. Liguori, Isabella Liguori and Emilia Liguori. He was predeceased by his sisters, Angela Liguori and Elena Liguori. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Tuesday, May 28 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM..
