We were so saddened to hear about Shirley’s passing. The girls, (Jules, Bella, and Hayley) and I especially. She was the best neighbor when we lived next door at Aunt Bunny’s house. We always loved going to her house to see her cats (especially Minnie. We have her brother). The girls and I were always so excited to see her at school in the hallways and outside. She would always make a point to tell everyone she watched me come home from the hospital when I was a baby when my parents lived behind her. She always also made a point to tell me if she saw one of the girls, especially since she has known all of them since birth. She always made my girls feel like someone was looking out for them. I will forever miss our chats, and our daily conversations. My condolences to her family and loved ones.

I remember Shirley, as I grew up 3 houses away from her parents Marge and Herman Wenderoth, and 2 houses away from her sister Lillian. I haven’t seen her or George in many years since shortly after Marge passed away. Our neighborhood was a close knit one where we were all more like family instead of just neighbors. A very rare thing then, and even more so today. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to her family at this difficult time. Memory Eternal.

Grandma, thank you. Thank you for all the memories we shared. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being there always. I will miss you dearly, even though we drifted throughout the years. I will always have a special place for you in my heart. But now, you can rest easy and worry free of life's struggles. You're reunited with grandpa, family, and friends. And whenever I look up at the sky I can only hope you're looking down on me, and everyone else. Rest in peace. I love you.

Q: What will you never forget about Shirley?
A: I don't even know where to begin or how to even put into words the things I'll never forget about her. I was lucky enough to be born early enough in her life where I got to know and grow together with her in this life. She really put the "GRAND" in Grandma let me tell you for me personally I've spent most of my life with her growing up and she has been the one person in my life I could always count on the one person who was there for me when things got hard and times were tuff no matter what she was there always and just being there for me with me in this life was all she ever had to do and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better grandmother from the time when I was a kid running around outside the house having water gun fights together or playing games inside,to whenever I needed to just talk to someone or help with something,to watching movies together and even hanging out having drinks grilling in the yard which she always enjoyed doing in the spring and summer times with me. No matter what she made life fun,she made u laugh, she definitely kept life interesting, she loved animals, children, she loved being a mother and grandmother, she had a big heart and she just wanted to share it with those around her,she loved her family and it was most important to her,so much more I can't even fit it all to say the least. I will forever love and miss you grandma and I know your with Grandpa now having a drink together looking down at us watching over this crazy bunch. You were the best grandmother ever I love you so much then you could probably ever even realize and miss you even more. What I will never forget most about Shirley is Shirley.

Mom you are the best mom ever a daughter could ask for. We have been through a lot together. I will miss our morning text messages before I go to work to let you know the weather and to bundle up going to school. I will miss her sleep overs. Do you do when your pedicures when I came over And by all your hotdogs, all the way and your french fries. I will miss our good night text messages, telling each other we love each other and good night. I will miss you and I know you are with dad now and you’re happy and at peace that’s all that matters now.
