Obituary of James Louridas

LOURIDAS, James 91 of Haledon, NJ formerly of Paterson, NJ passed away peacefully at home with family and friends at his bedside on Monday, February 20, 2012. James was a very loving brave man who will be remembered by his family and friends.
He proudly served in World War II with the United States Marine Corps. He was wounded in World War II for which he received the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. He will always be remembered for his caring nature and deep passion for the New York Yankees.
He worked as a shipping clerk at Mobay Chemical for 35 years and retired in 1983.
Beloved husband of the late Lillian Louridas (nee Crozier). He is survived by his loving daughter Nancy Anthony and her husband Peter of Haledon, his son James Louridas and his wife Catherine of Paterson, and his daughters,Ellen Huerta of Woodland Park, Patricia Crozier of Paterson, Carol Caffrey of Paterson, Sandy Lemay of Orlando, FL, Jean Savastano of Orlando, FL and Kim Caffrey of Haledon. He was prdeceased by his son John. Dear brother of Paul Louridas and his wife Helen, George Louridas and his wife Barbara and the late Gus, Helen and Ceila Louridas. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Masonic Lodge, 406 Roe Street, Haledon, NJ on Friday at 3:30 PM.
