Obituary of Anna Unger

Anna Unger, age 81, of Haledon died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Care One of Wayne. Anna was born July 12, 1930 in Hungary. She is the daughter of the late Mathias and the late Theresa (Reiser) Prostowits. She came to the United States in 1956 and settled in Paterson, NJ before moving to Haledon in 1961.
She was a corsetière and was employed by Hahn's Corset Shop, Paterson, NJ and later worked at Sylvette's in Paterson for over 20 years before retiring.
She was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park, NJ.
She was predceased by her husband Julius Unger.
She is survived by two her daughters: Marianne Baker of Prospect Park, NJ and Hilda Rowland and her husband John of New Milford, NJ; her sister: Theresa Sprenger of Tillson, NY, her grandchildren: John Rowland and his wife Heather, Kristina Reighard and her husband Ted, Brian Rowland, Donald Baker and his wife Michele and Adrienne Baker. She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Connor, Teddy, Kyle, Cody, Hailey and Tyler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 am on Thursday, February 23 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of New Jersey, 400 Broadacres Drive, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 would be appreciated.
