Obituary of Grace V. Arena
Grace Arena passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on December 22, 2023 at 84 years old.
Grace was born April 6, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up in Brooklyn with her father and siblings Frances, Louis and Margaret. Her grandmother and Aunt Rosie helped raise her and her siblings after her mother died. She spent her young adult life helping care for her niece Patricia, working as a hairdresser and spending time with her family.
She was married to her first husband, Thomas Arena and had two children, Grace Ann and Lisa. Her family then moved to New Jersey where she worked in Valenti’s bakery, a health aid, a secretary at DPMA and a parking attendant. She met the love of her life, Anthony Colombini with whom she was blessed with her son, Michael. Her family would spend their time shopping, going to the movies, and enjoying Chinese food. She spent the rest of her life as a loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is predeceased by her mother Mary Nancy Viggiano, her father Michael Viggiano, and her siblings Frances Esposito and Louis Viggiano. She is survived by her children Grace Ann Segreto and her husband John Segreto, Lisa A. Costanzo and her husband Daniel Costanzo, and Michael Colombini and his wife Tiffany Colombini. Also surviving are her sister Margaret Matteo and her husband Pasquale Matteo; her grandchildren Dawn Meyers, Danielle Costanzo and her husband Brian Keenan, Toni Ann Costanzo, Kristen Costanzo, Joseph Costanzo, Anthony Segreto, Amanda Segreto, Michael Colombini, Jr; her great-grandchild Emilia Keenan; and her nieces and nephews Patricia DeAngelis, Anthony, Michael, and Christopher Matteo, and Michael Viggiano.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ. There will be a mass Wednesday, December 27th, 2023 at 10am at Saint Gerard Majella RC Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ followed by a burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
