Dear Rodriguez family,
Don't know if you will remember me, but I was close friends with Andy on Anderson drive in New Jersey. We literally played sports together every single day, football during football season, basketball during basketball season, baseball during baseball season. And as I eventually moved on and became involved in other interests, at some point, especially in these latter years, I've had so many fond of memories of times with Andy. He was a really good kid when I was hanging out with him, nicer than I was, unfortunately as I had some anger issues. And without even guessing, knowing that he turned into an awesome man. I connected once with Andy a few years ago on Facebook, through private messaging, reminiscing a little bit about old times. So many fond memories of being at your house on Anderson drive playing sports, basketball in your driveway, football and baseball on your back lawn. Some very special memories, with our sports cards collections, being fascinated with what we could discover and learn about sports players. Here's one that is probably something that no one else heard about. It was just between Andy and I. When we were just little guys, I don't even know how old, we were both so infatuated with the figure skater Dorothy Hamill, that we were actually planning to run away and go find her. Crazy stuff that we talked about and planned. I'm so so sad to hear of his passing, with tears in my eyes, I can only thank him for the memories that he and I shared, and what he taught me about being a better kid, and eventually trying to be a good man. I thank God and the universe that I had the privilege of spending significant time with him as a young guy. My heartfelt condolences to you all.
