Obituary of Joseph P Asaro

Joseph P. Asaro, 80, of Lake Ariel, PA passed awayon Monday, August 3, 2020.  He was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Nutley, NJ where he met his wife Elaine of 60 years. They started a family in Nutley before moving to Wayne, NJ for 44 years. Over the last 4 years he enjoyed the snowbird life, living in Lake Ariel PA during the summer and spending the cold winters in sunny Singer Island,Florida.  

After being honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1963, he began a successful career in computer technologies. He retired in 1995 as a partner at Kwasha Lipton in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. He also founded a real estate partnership and Polygon Data Products, a successful family business. Family was the most important thing in his life. He loved his family and was unconditionally loved by them. 

Beloved husband of Elaine Asaro (nee Bickerton).  Loving son of the late Eleanor (nee Dell Cioppo) and Joseph Asaro.  Devoted father of Nancy Asaro and Lori Dring and her husband Paul.  Cherished grandfather of Amanda DeMauro and Casey and Jessica Dring.  Dear brother of Linda Morella (spJohn Morella), Robert Asaro (sp Marie) and the late Thomas Asaro.  Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Other family members, Henry Kenny (deceased), Rosemary Kenny-Kolialis, James Kenny (deceased)

He enjoyed celebrating life with family and friends. He truly was an amazing person who put others before himself.  He demonstrated power, loyalty and infinite love with little to zero effort. 

The “lake house” was his sanctuary, he was surrounded by nature and animals that he so much enjoyed. He was an avid fisherman, but the big one always got away! 

He will be missed by all but forever in our hearts.

All services are private.  A Celebration of Joseph's life will be held at a later date.
