Obituary of Barbara Slack

Barbara Slack, age 67, of Haledon, NJ died Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital And Medical Center of Paterson, NJ. Barbara was born July 4, 1943 in Paterson, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Frederick and the late Josephine (Koziel) Van Houten. Before moving to Haledon, 3 years ago, she lived in Scranton, PA for 15 years. She was a waitress at Teddy's Lunch in Paterson for many years before retiring. She is survived by two daughters: Judy Slack of Haledon, NJ and Barbara Lee Colon of Scranton, PA and one son: Paul Slack of Upton, NY. She is also survived thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Fred Van Houten and her sisters; Gloria Collela, Ruth Kaegie, Sandy Collela and Dolores Mittiago. The funeral will be held 8:30 pm on Wednesday, March 9 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Cremation, private. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
