Obituary of Helen Ledford

Helen Ledford, age 64, of Sussex died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at home in Sussex. Helen was born January 31, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the daughter of the late Louis and the late Ruby (Sheppard) Tassos. She lived in Paterson, NJ, Hawthorne, NJ and Haledon, NJ before moving to Sussex ten years ago. She was a Cafeteria Worker at the Haledon Public School and also worked at Tiny Tot Day Care in Haledon. She most recently worked as a cashier at Variety Central Convenience Store in Sussex. She is survived by her husband: Jimmie Ledford , two daughters: Luwanna Lomauro and her husband Jeffrey of Garfield, NJ, Christina Desenzo of Sussex, NJ and two sons: James Ledford of Strawberry Plains, TN and Jeffrey Ledford and his wife Bobbie Jo of Sussex, NJ. She is also survived by two sisters: Johanna Moore and her husband Dennis of Paterson, NJ and Marianne Mullen of Rollins, PA and one brother: Louis Tassos and his wife Betty of Dandridge, TN; she also has six grandchildren. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Sunday, January 9 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Cremation is private. Visiting hours will be Saturday, January 8 from 2-4 &6-8 PM.
