Obituary of William Datzko

William Datzko, age 88, of Wayne, NJ died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Care One of Wayne, NJ. William was born January 1, 1922 in Scranton, PA. He is the son of the late Michael and the late Mary Sumiak Datzko. He lived in North Haledon, NJ for many years prior to moving to Wayne. He was a Merchant Marine. He was a veteran of World War II. He was member of the Disabled American Veterans, Clifton Chapter no. 2 and it's Auxiliary. He was wounded in the Philippines Campaign and a piece a shrapnel still remains in his body. He is survived by one daughter: Joanne Preusser of Hawley, PA; a sister: Mary Biondi of Toms River, NJ; a nephew, Gary Biondi and a niece, Lorelei Tinkman. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie Datzko. Services were private.
