Obituary of Veronica Pohl

Veronica Pohl, age 81, of Haledon went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2010 . Veronica was born February 2, 1929 in Schandra, Hungary and came to the United States in 1951 and settled in Garfield, NJ before moving to Haledon in 1968. She is the daughter of the late Michael and the late Mary (Scheffler) Siegli. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband: Willi Pohl ,her two daughters: Margaret Werley and her husband Fred of Dickson, MO, Hildi Valenzano and her husband Bill of Cincinnati, OH, her son: David Pohl and his wife Gieniene of Wanaque, NJ; and her sister: Kathy Lieli and her husband Gunther. Affectionately known as "Oma" to her grandchildren; Alli Valenzano and Drew Valenzano and Dylan and Celeste Pohl. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Siegli. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Friday, September 24 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Visiting hours will be Thursday, September 23 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
