Obituary of Lucy Angele

Lucy (LuLu) nee D’Errico Angele – 84 years old, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, December 24th at Vitas Healthcare in Wayne, NJ. LuLu was born and raised in the Riverside section of Paterson, NJ.  She had 11 siblings, born unto Beatrice and Eustachio D’Errico.  She was predeceased by all of her family members. LuLu was married to Robert (Bob) Angele, who passed away in August 2014.  LuLu is survived by her 4 children, Debra Neumann of Scottsdale, AZ, Judith Angele of North Haledon, NJ, Robert Angele of Waldwick, NJ and Kathy Angele of NYC, NY.She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Jason Alessio, Kayley Angele, Alysha Rodriguez, Danyel Erk, Ryan Angele, Francesca Weil and Alexander Weil.  In addition she has 4 great grandchildren, Dominick Alessio, Gianna Rodriguez, Hudson Straut and Savanna Rodriguez. LuLu has also left behind many loving nieces, nephews and friends who have shown great support and love. The couple lived in Paterson the majority of their lives, with the exception of moving to  Pt. St. Lucie, FL for 13 years, before moving back to NJ to be closer to their family. While raising their 4 children, LuLu worked for the Board of Education in Paterson, NJ where she was a Food Service manager in the public school system.  Her many passions included being involved in the PTA, politics, cheering on the NY Giants and going to Atlantic City. They travelled to St. Maarten for 2 wks each year for over 20 yrs and it became their home away from home.  St. Maarten became a very special place for both LuLu and Bob and as such, will be their final resting place where both of their ashes will be released into the sea. Lucy did not want a wake or funeral, but rather a Celebration of Life, which is being planned by her children for a date in the not too distant future. LuLu lived a long, happy and healthy life.  She left this earth in the same fashion as she did while she was alive – on her own terms.
