It was with profound sadness that I heard of Mr. Rossi's passing.
To the Rossi Family I pray that God gives you the strength to deal with his loss. You have wonderful memories, dwell on the happy times.
Mr. Rossi was my Italian teacher at CHS and I served as soccer manager from 1977-1979. He was an exemplary teacher, coach, and mentor to many. In his classes, on and off the field he taught us honor and respect. Mr. Rossi inspired and motivated us. It is said that "you can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who can never repay you." Mr. Rossi lived perfect days everyday. He did so much for so many and the only way to repay him is to live the life he taught us to live. We can celebrate the memories and the part of
Mr. Rossi that lives on in all of us.

My deepest condolences to the Rossi Family. My heart was so sad when I found out the news. Mr Rossi was one POWERFUL human being.. He will always be remembered as a Loving husband, an Amazing father, a Caring teacher, and STRONG coach. He was the type of man that would PUSH you until you realized what you were capable of achieving. He never once gave up on anyone. He was determined to mold you into whatever you wanted to be. I have so many memories being his student but one that will stand out in my head was when i would pick on him and talk to him in sicilian and he would point at me with his pen and YELL.. "RAITANO..YOU BETTER LEARN PROPER ITALIAN" I will always be thankful and grateful to have known Mr Rossi. He NEVER ONCE was forgotten, and he will be missed IMMENSELY <3

Rosetta Incorvaia-Mendoza

I remember his smile and his head full of curls, seeing Cleo with her pregnant belly with their son in the hallway. Caring teachers are few and far between. He was one of them. Rest in Peace Mr. Rossi...you will be missed.

It saddens me deeply to hear of the loss of Fernando, although it has been a long time since I have seen him from my days playing at Clifton high and with the Fraine Club, his sprit and the lessons learned from him, as well as the great times playing for him will remain with me forever. He was a talented player and coach who knew and loved the game.
And I will never forget what he told me many years ago which I still do to this day. “Never ever use soap when cleaning the espresso machine just rinse it out with water…
I have kept this with me for many years and so will I keep his memory with me.
I wish you and your family peace and tranquility in this hard time and all my prayers go out to you.

I was Fernando's "Soccer Manager" through-out my 4 years at Clifton High School (and we are talking a long time ago - Class of 1980). He became a friend of mine and my family's after that. As life goes, we lost touch for awhile and just recently we had connected and caught up on each other lives. He was so extremely proud of his children and was excited telling me about all the things that we going on in his life with his beautiful wife Cleo and the new house they were building. Fernando was always full of life and had a great spirit. I will hold his memory in my heart. He will be missed. Our love and prayers go out to the family.
