Obituary of Selvyn Bailey

Selvyn Bailey, age 90, of, Paterson died Monday, May 28, 2018 at Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center of Galloway, NJ.  Selvyn was born December 13, 1927 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, West Indies.

He was employed by The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ as a Janitor until his retirement and subsequently worked at Ridgewood Middle School as a janitor. 

He is survived by six daughters: Hazeline Bailey-Sunde, Pauline Bailey-Patten, Claudette Bailey-Duff, Jacqueline Bailey,  Andrea Bailey and Yvonne Bailey-Brown and her husband Conward and five sons:  Errol Bailey, George Bailey, Errol  "Danny" Bailey, Richard Bailey and wife Audrey and Dwight Bailey and his wife Shaun. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren and his step children; Alres Rose-Sewell, Hyacinth Brown-McKoy and, Maureen Brown-Wilson.

He was predeceased by his wife Frances Bailey and his daughter, Jennylin Bailey.

Viewing hours will be Saturday, June 9 from 9-10 AM at Trinity Pentecostal Church, 550 East 23rd Street, Paterson, NJ.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, June 9 at Trinity Pentecostal Church, 550 East 23rd Street, Paterson, NJ.  Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
