Obituary of Vsevolod Gruenman

Vsevolod Gruenman, age 91, of Montclair, NJ died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.Mr. Gruenman was born February 20, 1918 in Saint Petersburg, Russia the son of the late Yuri and the late Ekaterina (Medvedski) Gruenman. He came to the United States in 1949 and settled in Montclair . He was a Chemical Engineer at Hoffman La Roche, Nutley, NJ for thirty years and retired in 1983. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Latvia and his Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from N.J.I.T. He was a member of St. Michaels R.O. Cathedral, Paterson, NJ and the Hoffman La Roche Retirees Club. He is survived by his wife: Velta (Jirgensons) Gruenman, two daughters: Marina Gruenman of Wayne, NJ, Irina Jocher of Blyhte, GA and one son: Alfred Imertreijs of Westerville, OH, his sisters: Paula Sneider and Elena Koppel, his grandsons: David Rogers, Peter Rogers, Brian Imertreijs and Eric Imertreijs. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and a nephew; Alexander Page.The funeral service will be Monday at 10 am at St. Michael's R.O. Cathedral, 52 Sherman Avenue, Paterson, NJ. Panahida on Sunday evening at 5 pm at St. Michaels R.O. Cathedral. Burial will be in Novo DiVeevo Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY.
