Obituary of Joseph Robert Frank

Joseph Robert Frank, 87, of Wayne passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday August 20, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Maggio-Frank. Joseph is the devoted father of his 3 sons, JR and wife Laura, Jeffrey and wife Mary, and Jay and wife Marie. Papa Joe is the loving grandfather of his 6 grandchildren, William, Jason, Ryan, Lindsey, Joseph, and Michael. He is also survived by his sister Deanna Kovacs. Joseph was born on September 2, 1929 in Paterson to Pat and Kate Frank. He is a graduate of Eastside High School, where he played varsity baseball. He later graduated from Seton Hall University. He was a co-owner of Quality Box Lunch before pursuing a career in teaching Industrial Arts at Pompton Lakes High School for 30 years. While teaching, he was also the student council advisor for the "Mr. Frank's Furters" hot dog stand at the football games. Joseph enjoyed tennis, hunting, fishing, Thursday night card games, and being a member of the Men of God. In retirement, he further pursued his hobbies of woodworking and traveling. He also was an avid fan at all his grandchildren's school and sporting events. Joseph was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Wayne. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of The Valley R.C. Church, Wayne, NJ on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Please meet at church. Visiting at Joseph Lozito Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment, Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ, In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph may be made to Eva's Village in Paterson, New Jersey. www.delozito.com
