Obituary of Stephen Sarappo

Stephen Sarappo, age 76, of Haledon died Friday, April 17, 2015 at home in Haledon. Stephen was born September 17, 1938 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of and the late John and Elizabeth (DeAngelo) Sarappo. He was a Captain for the City of Paterson Fire Department for 30 years and retired in 1993. He was a member of the Paterson Firefighters Association. He served in The National Guard. He is survived by his wife: Janet (Beccari) Sarappo and his two daughters: Ginny Polifrone and her husband Glenn of Oakland, NJ and Kristen Kinney of Weathersfield, CT. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Stefani and Nicholas Polifrone. He was predeceased by his brother, John Sarappo. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 21 at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Monday, April 20 from 4-8pm.
