Biography

Maria Farkas, age 81, of Haledon died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Llanfair House of Wayne, NJ. Maria was born June 8, 1930 in Hungary. She is the daughter of the late Benjamin and the late Maria (Kalman) Racz.

She was employed at Paxar Label, Paterson, NJ for 25 years as a Weaver and retired in 1995.

She is survived by her husband: Karoly Farkas , her three daughters: Marie Mbayed of Haledon, NJ, Antonia Herrmann of Haledon, NJ, Ilona Shami and her husband Joseph of Totowa, NJ and one son: Charles Farkas of Haledon, NJ. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Benjamin Racz.

The funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 3 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park, NJ. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 3 from 10 am - 11 am. Please omit flowers.
