DeLuccia – Lozito Funeral Home was started by Joseph A. Lozito, III in 1998. The DeLuccia Funeral Home, which was founded in 1900 by Nicholas DeLuccia, Sr., was located in Paterson, NJ and moved to this location in 1984, which was formerly the Rinaldi Funeral Home. The large 10,000 square foot building has three viewing rooms and a large well lit parking lot for 75 cars. It is easily accessible from Route 208, Route 80 and the Garden State Parkway. It is centrally located and within minutes from several churches and local cemeteries. |

Joseph was born in Paterson, NJ and spent most of his youth in Wayne, NJ where he attended Our Lady of The Valley Grammar School and DePaul Catholic High School. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hackensack, NJ. He graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, NY in 1985. He has been a licensed funeral director for over 20 years. He is a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Franklin Lakes, NJ and St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Prospect Park, NJ. He is a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association where he has served as a delegate –at-large and its second – vice president. He also has served on various committees within the association. He is also a member of the Passaic County Funeral Directors Association where he served as its president.
Joseph is a member of North Haledon U.N.I.C.O.,The Veterans Club in Haledon and the Knights of Columbus Council No.6309 . He is also an honorary member of the Haledon P.B.A. Local No. 349 and a Silver Card Holder and a Honored Citizen of the NJ Police Departments Honor Legion.
Joseph currently resides in North Haledon, NJ and is married to the former Patricia DeMarco. They have three children; Joseph A. IV, Natalie Ann and Jake William. He coaches youth baseball in North Haledon and is the Director of Basketball at the Academy of Most Blessed Sacrament School. He is also a member of the New Jersey Football Officials Association – North Chapter.
